The University of Michigan developed this app with travelers in mind, using science to allow for better adaption and comfort when dealing with the strains of jet lag. Now you'll be able to get your bearings upon arrival to new places thanks to massive amounts of data collected during months of sleep research conducted among frequent travelers.
First things first, upon downloading this app, you'll select your timezone and type in your usual bedtime and how long you tend to sleep. In order to better adjust to your new surroundings, this tool automatically informs you of sunset times at your destination so as to allow for smoother adaptation of your sleep habits even before you land in your new surroundings.
Before grabbing that flight, let Entrain know where you're going, and it'll tell you when and how long you should be sleeping in order to give your circadian rhythm a head start and allow for more gradual adjustment even before landing. Also, by using this app you'll be helping researchers collect useful data for further studies on sleep cycles and how they're affected by travel.
